Director of Education Completes Rutland Half Marathon in Support of LOROS

Learn Academies Trust is proud to celebrate the achievement of the Director of Education, Steve Roddy, who recently completed the Rutland Half Marathon in aid of LOROS, the Trust’s Charity of the Year.

Steve completed the challenging 13.1-mile course in order to raise funds to support the vital work of LOROS, which provides compassionate hospice care and support for patients and families across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

Speaking after the event, Steve Roddy said:
“Running the Rutland Half Marathon was a tough but incredibly rewarding experience. LOROS does remarkable work for people and families at some of the most difficult times in their lives, and I’m proud to be able to support them as our Charity of the Year.”

Learn Academies Trust has been actively fundraising for LOROS throughout the year, with staff and schools across the Trust taking part in a range of activities to raise awareness and vital funds. Events include the Harborough Busking Festival which will take place on the morning of Friday 1st May outside Market Harborough market.

Jane Jones CEO of Learn Academies Trust added:
“We’re extremely proud of Steve’s achievement. His commitment reflects the Trust’s wider values of care, community and making a positive difference beyond our schools.”

Donations in support of Steve’s run and Learn Academies Trust’s ongoing fundraising for LOROS are still welcome.
