Houghton‑on‑the‑Hill Church of England Primary School welcomed the Right Reverend Martyn Snow, Bishop of Leicester, for a special pastoral visit. The Bishop led a whole‑school assembly, spoke about his role and the symbolism of his vestments, and enjoyed a lively performance of modern hymns from the pupils.

He then joined children from across the school for a circle discussion, where they shared their contributions to school life and asked him thoughtful questions about his work. Headteacher Mrs Woollerson described the visit as a valuable and memorable experience for the whole community. Representatives from the Church and Learn Academies Trust also attended, highlighting the strong partnership between the school and its wider community.
